Example logs are installed at C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EnviroInsite\Examples\ (assuming the typical EnviroInsite installation path of C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EnviroInsite).
•Templates in the Log Templates folder are intended for EQuIS databases. If chosen to install during the Professional installation Installing Example Files these EQuIS compatible log templates are also available in the EQuIS Professional install at C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\Examples\Log Templates.
•Templates in the non-EQuIS Boring Log Templates folder are intended for EnviroInsite databases.
Any template can be revised if data is stored in different location in the database or if different data is desired.
The sample logs are installed at C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EnviroInsite\Example\non-EQuIS Boring Log Templates (assuming the typical EnviroInsite installation path of C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EnviroInsite). These templates are not intended for use with an EQuIS database source. EQuIS users may download this sample boring log template.
First, examine the PDF files included with the installed templates and select the one that is closest to the end-product that you want to achieve. Next, copy the folder associated with that template to a project folder. To load the template, start EnviroInsite and open the boring log data file by selecting File> Open Database and selecting the file. Select Boring Logs from the Tasks Pane at the right-hand side of the EnviroInsite window. Select Plot> Logs from Template and select the template and the wells to be plotted. This will create the log using the sample data. Exchange your own data to plot logs for your wells or boreholes. You can also modify the template by double-clicking on the log object in the Plot Control panel on the left-hand side of the EnviroInsite window. This will open the Boring Log Template Design window. Add or delete fields, move objects, and insert your corporate logo. Save out the modified template by selecting Template> Save As and selecting a new template name.
